When deciding on a recreational program you need to ask yourself some questions like what parts of the physical fitness you want to improve on, what kind of activities do you enjoy, where are the activities offered located, what sport skills do you have, do you want to do this on your own or with a group and do you need special equipment.
Along with considering your feelings, skills, and reasons for participating in an activity you need to also take into consideration your health conditions, personality,attitudes,environment, and other considers like cost.
A big thing to consider is the weather outside. if your activity is outside. The weather outside can cause a big safety risk. If it's hot side, you can get heat exhaustion,heat strokes, and heat cramps.If it's cold outside, you can catch hypothermia or frostbite. When participating in activities outside, make sure you are following the correct procedures and wearing the correct clothing for the weather
Another thing to take into deep consideration is your calorie balance. Calorie balance is the comparison between how many calories you burn and consume on a daily. The amount of calories you burn in a day to keep you alive is called your metabolic rate.

You burn calories by digesting and participating in activities.
