The Schism happened because the Western and Eastern sides had very different opinions. The leadership, the religious practices, the language, and the appearance. The Western Roman Catholic Church liked to have the Pope in charge, and have more power than the Emperor. We also speak Latin, because it's super cool, with a pointy castle-like appearance with stained glass. So much cooler than the Eastern Orthodox Church. And since we're so much cooler than the Eastern side, they got all jealous and salty, and started a fight with us. Oh right, I have to let you hear from Ellice now.

The Great Schism of 1054 When Christianity was divided into two parts; the Roman Catholic Church and Eastern Orthodox Church
Same as Katrina, the Great Schism happened because of our completely different opinions. Us, the Eastern Orthodox Church think that having the Patriarch, or in their case, the Pope in charge is ridiculous. Our Emperor is our leader in both Political and Religious regions, which makes them awesome. We adapted the language of Greek into our culture because we think that it's cooler and even took Roman architecture into our layout. We built a dome shaped church with hand-built mosaics. We also let our priest marry, to strengthen their bond with God, where the priests over there don't even get to. Our church is so much better and free. And now back to Katrina with more detail.
Hi. I'm Katrina. I live in the Western part of Rome. I was part of the Great Schism, separating me and my best friend Ellice.
Thanks a lot for the introduction Katrina. Hi, I'm Ellice, and I live in the Eastern side of Rome. We're not as boring as Katrina describes.
