Hello! I am part of the Cherokee tribe. Currently, I am living in my winter house called a wattle and daub house. For summer though, I live in a open air house
oI am imagining a picture of my map. I live in the Blue Ridge region of South Carolina.

You see that fence? It is a palisade. We have it for protection against enemy attack.
The house is made of wattle (bark and branches woven together) for the roof of the house and daub (clay and grass) for the walls of the house.
I am at the river right now fishing. This river is used for survival and transportation. I used walnut bark to stun the fish in front of me. I will eat this fish later.

Hey! I am just picking up corn, beans, and squash!
We call these crops "the three sisters". These are our main crops.
This sturdy fence called a palisade is made up of long tree trunks made into spikes.
This is our 7-sided council where men and women make rules for the tribe.
Religiously, we believe in the Great Spirit.
Rivers and fauna (wildlife) were used to the Cherokee tribes' advantage.
Flora (plant life) was also used to the Cherokee tribe's advantage.
The Council led the Cherokee. Important people in the Cherokee include the shaman, white, and red chief.
