General Urea attempted to take the Texian's cannon, that Mexico feared they would use against them. The Texians refused, and made a flag saying "Come and Take It!", starting the Texas war for Independence
Massacre of Goliad
George Childress wrote the Texas Deceleration of Independence. The delegates of at this convention worked hard to both, create a new Government, and defend their country.

Charging the Texans, the Mexican army won this bloody, 13 day battle. Most of the Alamo defenders died fighting, and the Alamo fell.
Battle of San Jacinto
General Urea drove General Fannin, and his men out of Goliad, and into an open field, and held a massacre that killed hundreds of Texan soldiers, and 350 men captured.
In determination to flee from Santa Anna, the Texas colonists, and survivors of the Massacre of Goliad ran to the United States. While this was happening Sam Houston started training his army.
The final battle to declare Texas' Independence! This 18 minute battle was won over by the Texans. Santa Anna disappeared during the battle. The Texans captured him as he was dressed as a common Mexican solider.
