Storyboard Text

  • Pulaski, Tennessee 1865 6 confederate veterans form the Klan
  • Nathan Bedford Forrest joins Klan in 1867 and becomes the first Grand Wizard, racist ideologies spread
  • We must enforce white control and suppress the rights of blacks!
  • In the 1910s - 1920s the KKK is completely revived, films such as "The Birth of A Nation"  boost membership to the millions
  • White power is the only power! Read all about it!
  • This Klan has really risen to prominence in all forms of media, I shall honorably join it and align myself with their truthful beliefs
  • The 1920s proved to be a time of perceived racial superiority, Klansmen terrorized black people and participated in mass demonstrations which reflected their beliefs that whites were racially superior to individuals of color
  • In the mid 1920s, the Klan reached its height in terms of membership and power. Estimates believed that anywhere from 2-5 million Klansmen were part of the Klan at the time
  • The KKK was very significant in the 1920's as well as today. In the 1920's it promoted the ideals of white racial superiority and was actually a huge political force at the time. However, now the KKK is significant because we know how racist they truly were. For the most part we have learned from the mistakes they as an organization made and will try our best not to match them. Looking at the atrocities they committed ha made us all more tolerant of other races overt time.
  • You guys are racist and don't represent American values
