Sergeant Anderson's only wish was to go home for Christmas. He had been fighting in World War II for three years now, ever since Pearl Harbor. He was tired, he missed his family, and most of all, very anxious about the upcoming Operation: Overlord landings. But luckily for him, he would be transferred to a commando unit undertaking a different assignment.
Once Anderson was told about his option to transfer, he practically demanded to be given the assignment. He would be commanding three recruits: Pvt. Miller, Pvt. Denny, and Pvt. Daniels. Miller was the team's demolitions expert. Denny was the sniper but could also handle infantry. Daniels was the medic who also was combat trained.
Anderson's first mission with his new team was a recon mission in the British owned territory of India. Reports said that a militia was forming that just so happened to be a Nazi led uprising against British rule. Even though Anderson personally believed that India should be granted freedom, it was Nazi led and he did not like that.
The militia was small, however, so the Army felt no need to send a large force. Anderson was to meet up with Cpl. Ryan and his unit. However, when Anderson's squad reached the island, Ryan's team was nowhere to be found, and the militia was waiting for them with tanks, landmines, everything Anderson did not have.
The attack began. Ryan's squad was still missing, Anderson was heavily outnumbered. Everything seemed lost. Then, all of a sudden, Andy woke up in his bed. It was all a dream.
Andy walked outside to find what couldn't have been no more than every kid in his town playing in the freshly packed snow. His kids had told him that this was their wish for Christmas: a white Christmas!
