  • His name is Temujin!
  • Congrats!
  • Kill them all!
  • Yes sir!
  • This is a story about one of the greatest war lords in history: Genghis Khan. Born sometime around 1162, Genghis was originally named Temujin. Since birth, the Mongols knew he would be great. Khan had a birth mark on his hand that symbolized he would become a great and powerful leader.
  • When Khan was young, he struggled in education. It didn't get better when his father was poisoned by an enemy clan. Although made Khan the rightful ruler of the Mongols, he was only 9. The Mongols laughed when he tried to seize the crown. With his father's death and the Mongols laughing at him, Khan was furious and wanted revenge.
  • As Khan became of age, he became a killer. went through countless tribes and clans. If the clan did not submit, they were killed. Khan also ended killing the tribe that poisoned his father. Khan had a strong unbeatable army with the best of the best in it.
  • Here lies Genghis Khan
  • Although a lot of what Genghis Khan did was murder, he did help unite the Mongols as one clan. He brought all the clans and tribes together. He was also good at government and was religion tolerant. This all is how Khan unified the Mongol Empire. Somewhere around this time he was given the name "Universal Ruler," or "Khan."
  • Khan had many conquests, one of his more famous ones the conquest on the Jing Empire during the Jing Dynasty in China. That conquest would later be fulfilled by Khan's grandson. On the map shows most of the territory Khan gained throughout his conquests, which was biggest conquest in history at the time.
  • In 1227, Genghis Khan died. The Mongols wanted to make his burial special. They also wanted no one to find his grave. So, the Mongols took Genghis Khan's body to a secret place and insured that it would never be found. Going down in history as a great warlord who was a key in uniting the Mongols due to his conquests, Genghis Khan is history
