Storyboard Text

  •  1st Most Important Amendment
  • @randomperson I don't agree with the governor
  • @randomperson Actually I can because I have the freedom of speech.
  • @governor You can't say that. Now you're going to go to jail.
  • 2nd Most Important Amendment
  • Actually you don't because it's not listed in the Constitution.
  • I have the right to equality.
  • I declare you guilty of stealing 1 dollar from this farmer. Your sentence shall be... life in prison.
  • 3rd Most Important Amendment
  • I only stole 1 dollar!
  • Objection! Your Honor, he can't say that, it's in the 5th Amendment
  • I think the 1st Amendment is the most important. First, people should be able to believe in whatever religion they want to and be able to meet in groups to discuss something.  Second, they should be allowed to voice their own opinion, but not make threats. Lastly, they should be allowed to have peaceful protests.
  • 4th Most Important Amendment
  • Sustained.
  • I know right! I'm so mad!
  • I think that the 9th Amendment is the 2nd most important. First, without the 9th, we wouldn't have any other rights. Second, it isn't specific, so there's no limit on how many rights you have. Lastly, only 10 rights is not enough.
  • Least Important Amendment
  • I can't believe that the traffic laws are different in California than in Missouri.
  • I think that the 8th Amendment is the 3rd most important. First, everyone deserves to be punished fairly. Second, everyone should pay fair bail and fines depending on the crime. Lastly, no one should be tortured. They should just serve their time in prison.
  • My Amendment
  • I think that the 5th Amendment is the 4th most important. First, people shouldn't be tried for the same case more than once. Second, people shouldn't be forced to admit that they are guilty. They shouldn't be forced to say anything. Lastly, the government shouldn't be allowed to take away your property without paying for it.
  • I didn't do it!
  • Admit it! Your guilty!
  • I think that the 10th Amendment is the least important. First, the states could have different laws, and that could cause problems when you travel/move. Second, some states could have better laws than others. This could create tension between the states. Lastly, all of the states should have equal laws. This amendment is still important, just not as much as the others.
  • I wouldn't want to create a new amendment. First, I have absolutely no idea what is happening with our government/economy/politics at the moment, so I probably wouldn't come up with a good amendment. Second, I think that all of the amendments are there for a good reason. Lastly,  I do not want the responsibility of coming up with an amendment that could possibly change the United States for the worse.
