Storyboard Text

  • Eurydice was picking flowers with her maidens for her wedding, when she was bitten by a snake and slowly died. 
  • Orpheus learned the death of his future wife, so he went to the door of the underworld to retrieve her and bring her back.
  • He played his beautiful lyre, getting past the three-headed dog and making Charon forget to ask him to pay.
  • Orpheus finally gets to Hades lair, asking him to bring his loved Eurydice back.Hades makes a promise. He has to leave the underworld, and don't look back until you are out, then behind you, is your beloved Eurydice.
  • Orpheus accepted the deal, leaving the underworld. But he stopped at the entrance, almost out, wondering if Hades tricked him.
  • Eurydice was there, a faint wisp, but vanished and whispered, "Farewell my love."
  • Orpheus mourned for his future wife, playing terrible music all day long. People heared it for weeks.
  • The Woman Of Thrace finally had enough of Orpheus, and murdered him.
