An ethnic group is a group that share common culture , common ancestry, beliefs, holidays, and foods. An example is Arabs.
A religious group is a group that share the same belief system, same god or gods, sacred text, religious laws, and holidays. An example would be Christian.
Arabs mostly live in Southwest Asia and Northern Africa. They speak Arabic. The religion is mostly Islam. They were descendants of Abraham through his son Ishmael.
Persians are from Iran and they speak Farsi. The religion is Muslim. Persians are Indo Europeans who migrated from central Europe and Southern Russia,
Kurds are from Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Iran. They speak Kurdish and the religion is mostly Muslim. Kurds believe to be descendants of the Medes, an ancient Iranian people.
