I can't decide if I should invite my friend Nicole to my birthday party because, sometimes she gets a little too wild at parties, and my friends said if I invite her they won't come but, if I don't invite her they will come.
Well, what can you do about it?
I could invite her and try telling her to calm down or I could just not tell her I'm having a party and only invite my other friends.
O.K., well, if I just try telling her to calm down at the party but still invite her, she might calm down and I would be able to potentially invite her to future parties and my friends wouldn't be so hesitant to come to my parties when she is invited but, even if I tell her to calm down she may not calm down and then none of my friends will come to my party because they still won't want to be around her. If I just invite my other friends and don't tell her about the party then, my other friends will still come to my party, as well as maybe future parties, but Nicole may not want to be my friend anymore if she finds out I invited all of my other friends except for her.
Well, honey, you have to think about the consequences of your decisions.
So, what's most important to you sweetie?
Probably staying friends with all of my current friends.
The next day at breakfast...
Have you made a decision on what your going to do sweet heart?
Yes, I am going to invite Nicole and tell her to calm down at the party while still inviting my other friends.
Thanks for letting me come even though I get a little wild at parties.
So, are you happy with your decision to invite everyone including, Nicole, honey?
At the party...
Yes, because now Nicole and my other friends have become friends so, I don't have to worry about only inviting some friends to hang out with me and Nicole is more calm at parties. Plus we all had a good time.
