Going Back to the Past!
Yeah, I know that the test is soon so we better go back to the middle ages.
Hey Franny! I need help with the new unit and I know that we have the test soon. Can you help me?
This is when the nobles forced the King to sign the Magna Carta. King John wasn't too happy about that.
The Magna Carta was a document that listed the people's rights and their roles.
Franny and Mabel decided to go back to the Middle Ages to learn more about the Medieval Times.
What exactly was the Magna Carta?
This is the social structure of the European feudal society. The King was at the very top, the nobles close behind. Then the knights and the vassals, and then at the bottom, the peasants and serfs.
I'm starting to get this!
Franny and Mabel made it in time for the signing of the Magna Carta. The Magna Carta was created because of how feudalism weakened the power of the nobles.
These are the Crusaders. There was 4 crusades and it was a series of wars between the Turkish Muslims and the European Christians.
Additional Information: King John was abusing his powers as a king and the nobles made him sign the Magna Carta. The King agreed to sign after some threats from the nobles.
Additional Information: Feudalism was created in the midst of chaos. Everyone was in a civil war with each other. Feudalism was a solution and became Europe's main political system before the Magna Carta.
Peasants and Serfs
Knights and Vassals
Additional Information: Pope Urban II called the first crusade. It was successful only because they planned a sneak attack. The other 3 were unsuccessful.
Thank you so much! It was so fun going back in time and learning more about the Medieval Times.
