  • Paragraph
  • In the book “Out of my Mind”, by Sharon Draper, Melody struggles the most with man vs. self. She is always getting mad at herself because she can’t do anything to help. For example she couldn’t help her mom stop the car when penny was right behind it. Since she can’t stop anything bad from happening she would get mad at herself. She thinks all the time that something would be so much easier if she could talk and let people know about something. This is why Melody is, “ Man vs. Self” because she is always getting mad at herself and not being able to help others.
  • Melody got her Medi talker with Mrs. V and they got to open it up together.
  • Melody doesn't have any way to tell people what she needs to say.
  • I wish I could have some way to tell my mom how I feel.
