Hera, Zeus's wife, was jealous of Semele becasue she was pregnant and the father of the baby was Zeus. She made a plan to burn Semele alive to get her message through.
Oh no! What did those titans do to my son?
Once Zeus got to where Semele was lying now burnt, he attempted to save the baby, which was later named Dionysus. He removed the baby from Semele's stomach and stitched him to his thigh which is why Dionysus was considered inmortal.
Goodbye! Take good care of him Hermes.
I will sir!
SInce Hera's plan did not go as she wanted it to g since the baby survived, she decided to make plan to then kill Dionysus. Mind you, h has since been born.
Zeus finds his son, Dionysus, laying n the floor cut up into pieces. Him and Rhea help his son and luckily they are able to save him. Now, Hera's plan has gone wrong two times but this time she sent some titans to do the job for her.
Noticing the amount of risk that Dionysus was being put at with Hera still near, Zeus decided to send him off with Hermes to be taken to a half-human, half-goat (satyrs) so they could help protect him.
While Dionysus was away from his father, he discovered the grapevines that we know of today. He then continued to teach men how to care for the grapes to then create wine.
