  • Hello! My name is Goober the Centipede.  My Name is Harry,  and my last name is Pitts, and we are to teach you about carbohydrates, your body's main source of energy. 
  • These are some of the foods that can give you carbohydrates.  Remember that sweets give simple carbs, so limit your intake.  The foods include milk, fruits, breads, grains, cereal, and corn.
  • Carbs give you energy.  There are simple carbs or sugars, like glucose and fructose, and there are complex carbs, like starches.  Complex carbs are better for you.
  • On a 2,000 calorie diet, getting 225 to 325 carbs per day is a healthy average.  If you are trying to lose weight, try to get 50 to 150 carbs per day.
