Right understanding means to see things clearly and to understand them. Also to understand and accept the Four Noble Truths.
Right Action
The Buddha taught people to remove any selfish thoughts and focus their mind on good and compassionate things instead.
Right livelihood
The Buddha taught people that they should always speak kind and truthfully and avoid swearing, lies and gossip.
Right effort
This step means that you should always at in the right way, and avoid causing any harm for example killing or stealing.
The Buddha taught that you should avoid any job (or any way that you make money) that involves causing harm/encouraging dishonesty.
Right effort means that you're making an effort to be in control of what is happening in your mind and to get rid of any bad or harmful thoughts.
