  • Right you fekker hand over your grain and potatoes and no one gets hurt
  • Near Cork, Ireland 1847
  • Who are you blokes?
  • We're the IRA and we're fed up with your oppressive rule over our people
  • In 1847the Potato Famine is in full swing even the small amounts of aid for the Irish people was stopped by the British government. Attacks like these were common place. 
  • We Look back to January 1846 and Notable Irish Politician Daniel O'Connell was warning that the current prime minister Robert Peel's current policy wasn't effective enough to stop the famine.
  •  "There are five million people on the verge of starvation and I'm speaking from the depth of my conviction when I say the result of neglect will be death on an enormous amount."
  • now six months later with Peel out of parliament the British government was doing even less about the famine.  Dublin 1848
