A condition that can come from a mineral deficiency is Osteoporosis. This happens when the bones are weakened due to low calcium.
Anemia comes from an iron deficiency and it results in the lack of energy and low resistance to infections
An important mineral is calcium. Calcium helps build and maintain healthy bones, teeth, and muscles, keeps heartbeat regular, and helps the blood clot normally. Its found in dairy products, salmon, and sardines.
Another mineral is iron. iron helps build red blood cells. Its found in liver, spinach, and eggs
Finally to end our lesson we learn about Zinc. Zinc helps wounds heal and is needed for proper growth. It's found in shellfish, meat, and eggs.
