Water changed into gas and rises due to a process called evaporation.
The gas condenses and forms clouds during condensation.
Clouds become full of water and release it down to Earth in the form of precipitation. This could be rain, snow, sleet, or hail.
As water rains back down, some of it seeps into the ground and ends up flowing back into the ocean. This process is known as infiltration.
Some of the precipitation lands on large structures such as mountains. This water flows down and collects into a body of water. Some water also lands on roads due to urbanization and flows off into the ground. This is known as runoff.
This water eventually turns back into a gas form and begins the water cycle once again.
