Attending a school is a resposibilithy that a citizen has in the U.S. School teaches the skills and knowledge needed to become a good citizen.
Volunteerism is a part of being involved throughout your community. There are many ways to get involved including, donating food to a food pantry, visiting the nursing home and record books for the blind.
Another responsibility of being a citizen is that they respect the opinions of others and the ways of life because not everyone is going to think the same thing as you and could still be right.

Paying taxes is one of the duties of being a citizen. The money that the people pay go to police officers, firefigthers, the state and much more. Taxes also provide most of the money government needs to keep running.
It is a duty that male citizens ages 18-25 could be drafted for the SSS, in an event of a war or national emergency they could draft from this list. This is a government agency but does not mean that a person will be necessarily drafted.
