- Germany Surrendered. Why?After the loning battles the Soviet forces finally neared the main command bunker of Germany, later after Hitler killed himself. Overall, Germany surrendered because Germany failed to gain more offense overall. This caused the allied forces to decided to cover all their bases. American troops celebrate Germany's first all out surrender.
- United States and Soviet Union, friend or foe?(Both) ExplainEven though the connection between the Soviet Union and the U.S. had been both good and weak throughout the years before the war, they both made an alliance later on in the war. Thanks to there great work together it helped for us to over come the main defeat of the Nazi’s. However all this great stuffed happened in the past the Union and the U.S. did not have an alliance. The U.S. feared the growth of the USSR and the growth of the ‘red zone’.
- What was the Manhattan Project?The Manhattan Project was a very important technological development that happened in WWII. Overall the main idea of the project was to help bring nuclear weapons into the war, this caused the Atomic Age to happen, and strongly impacted the future like the Cold War. The project was a government made effort of developing, and learning, then using the Atomic bomb to help bring the war to an end.
- Explain the bombing of HiroshimaTowards the closer end of the war American dropped the first ever atomic bomb on Japan’s small village of Hiroshimia. The huge explosion killed about 80,00 people, and many more died to later radiation exposure that the bomb had left after. Overall the main reason that America bomb Japan was to end the war as swiftly as possible and to make Japan surrderender with no other choice but to.
- Explain the bombing of Nagasaki.Three days later after the bombing of Hiroshima American dropped another bomb on Nagasaki. This second atomic bomb killed about 40,000 people. This second bombing was to create realization that America had the suppior amount of nuclear weapons, and that they were not afraid to use them against anyone. These two brutal bombings helped to bring the war to a heavy ending.
- Japan Surrendered. Why?The main reason that Japan surrendered was because America entered the war and immediately bombed 2 cities. Japanese finally realized how strong and powerful Americans weapons are, this made Japan have to back out of the war due to the suffered loses and the power of the Soviet Union.
