In the evening, Mr Utterson came home and went straight upstairs to his study. He studied the will of Dr Jekyll and read that all of his possessions were to be passed on to the hands of Mr Hyde if, Dr Jekyll went missing or died.
Mr Utterson was not satisfied with the will and so went to see Dr Lanyon, who is an old friend of Dr Jekyll. He found out that Lanyon had not been in contact with him for years and did not know of any man named Mr Hyde.
Nope, but would you like to come in?
Is Dr Jekyll at home?
Ohh..no thank you, maybe next time
Since the conversation with Lanyon, Dr Jekyll was very curious to know who Hyde is. He kept on having nightmares about Mr Hyde trampling over a young girl and his friend being stuck in trouble by being blackmailed.
Since Mr Utterson was so curious, he could not wait any longer so he went to Mr Hyde's house and waited in front of the door. He had finally met Mr Hyde and when requested to show his face, he did. Mr Utterson could not believe if he was even human!
On the way back, Mr Utterson was just passing by Dr Jekyll's house and so thought to meet him. The butler answered the door and told him he was not home. He also told him that Mr Hyde visits Dr Jekyll's house frequently and leaves without eating.
He was worried after meeting the butler for his friend. He thought his friend was being blackmailed for his past which may contain deep dark secrets. He also got worried because if Mr Hyde found out about the will, he would hurry up the process by killing Dr Jekyll.
