  • Hi! My name is Deyshawn Albert. I am 17 years old and a junior in high school.
  • Stage 1: Experimentation

  • This is Deyshawn Albert. He is 17 years old and a junior in high school. He plays football and is in engineering club as well as drama. He is a straight A students as well as a 4 star TE in football. he is well liked by his peers and told to be Extremely Empathetic. He is very good kid and already planning for his future by going to Wisconsin for football.

  • Deyshawn just helped his team get to the championship so his team decided to have a party. Deyshawn was having an awesome time hanging with his friends until one of his offered hallucinogens. He knew from the news that Hallucinogens in Europe that 4.2% of people 15-24 year old's have taken hallucinogens. He knew they were illicit but he decided to try them. He liked them because they made him feel woozy and tired
  • Stage 4: Dependence
  • It's okay honey you'll get there!
  • I want to feel normal! Not physically tired all the time and angry!
  • Deyshawn asked for the bottle after the party. He started taking them every 3 days and loved them so much. He used them with his friends more often now and he was changing just a little. He was focusing less on school and activity's. He started developing a tolerance for the drug so he started talking the drug more often. He was hanging out with a friend and felt the compulsive feeling to take the drug.

  • They mess with your ability to understand the world and make you have mood swings as well as internal problems.
  • What do Hullucinogens do to your body?
  • Deyshawn now has now started to abuse the drug by taking it while in school or even in the car. His friends are becoming more and more worried because they know he was using the drug chronically. As he passed the drug store and saw 13.6 percent of seniors have experimented with LSD at least one time. He ignored the sign but as he got home his mom had found the bag of drugs under his bed and she asked how long this addiction has been going on. Deyshawn said to get out and slammed the door on her. He decided to take some more ignoring his chores.
  • Deyshawn has now been on this drug for a couple months and life has been terrible. He got kicked out of football and all of his clubs. His grades sucked and he now had developed a dependence for this drug. he understood that he had to stop but when he did he felt withdrawal symptoms like vomiting and fever. He couldn't quit because he felt terrible he needed to seek help, he couldn't live like this. He promised himself he wouldn't relapse back into what he has become now. His mom then took him to behavioral therapy.
  • He has been in behavioral treatment for about a week and he has gotten a lot better. He understood the short and long term affects like how they can make you not understand yourself and even your heart rate. He has been getting plenty of help like the therapy trying to treat his behavior when he is off the drug. Soon he will be better and back to his life. He has spread awareness for the worst part about drugs. His mom is so much happier as well as his peers and coaches and teachers. He will be back to normal life, if he doesn't go back to his old habits.
