  • We shall oath to "not separate" , and to reassemble the circmstances required

  • Louis XVI called for a meeting of the Estate General because there was a financial issue that occured
  • The March on Versailles 
  • This is outrageous!! The prices are way to high?!#
  • On June 20, 1789, the members of the french Estates general , who called themselves the National Assembly, took the Tennis Court Oath and vowed to not separate and to reassemble the circumstances required.
  • The Reign of terror 
  • What the hell is going on here!!
  • Parisian revolutionaries mutinous troops storm and dismantle the Bastille, which was a fortress and prison that symbolized tyranny of the bourbon monarchs. 
  • Rise of Napoleon
  • The march began among women in the marketplaces of Paris who, on the morning of 5 October 1789, were near rioting over the high price and scarcity of bread. 
  • They were determined to avoid street violence such as the September Massacres of 1792 by taking violence into their own hands as an instrument of government.

  • The turmoil of the French Revolution created opportunities for ambitious military leaders like Napoleon. The young leader quickly showed his support for the Jacobins, a far-left political movement and the most well-known and popular political club from the French Revolution.
