This is the land of the Canaanites. We are close to the end of our journey!
Abram Builds Altars for the Lord
I built an altar for you, Lord.
The journey will soon be over. Lot.
Your descendants will live in this land!
God tells Abram to leave his homeland to where God will build a great nation. God also says that everyone will find blessing in Abram.
Famine and Journey to Egypt
Looks like food is scarce in the land.
Abram, his son Lot, and his wife Sarai started their journey to where the Lord was guiding them. On their way they past by the land of the Canaanites.
Sarai Enters Pharaoh's Home
You are very beautiful, would you like to enter my home?
The Lord told Abram that this land was for his descendants and Abram built an altar for the Lord. Abram also built and altar in Bethel and continued his journey to Negeb.
Sarai Gets Returned to Abram
Why didn't you tell me she was your wife! We had a lot of plagues!
In Negeb, there was a lot of famine. So Abram and Sarai go to Egypt to get some food and animals.
Great idea Lot!
Let's go to Egypt for food and animals!
Abram told Sarai to say that she was his sister because the Egyptians are going to think she is beautiful. They will take Sarai and kill Abram. They meet Pharaoh and he takes Sarai into his home.
Egyptians will see that you are beautiful and take you, pretend you are my sister.
Yes, good plan.
After Sarai entered Pharaoh's house, Abram acquired a lot of animals and servants. The Lord struck Pharaoh's house with plagues because they took Sarai. Pharaoh returned Sarai and complained that Abram didn't tell him she was his wife.
