Settling the West Cartoon-Transcontinental railroad and Promotar Point

There were 2 transit companies that worked togetherher to establish the transcontinental railroad. They company from the west was Central Pacific and the east was the Union Pacific. The eastern company had more railroads because they were building on the plains and the western company was building on the mountains. They both met at Promontory Point, Utah.
The Transcontinental Railroad
Trains were carried throughout the west into boomtwons to help with trading. Trains could carry more cargo and is safer than wagons.
The Transcontinental railroad was founded by the United States government to help with trade and build across their territory. These findings were were called subsides
In the east, the US government was giving aids to the companies that wanted to build the railroad
Many Americans fought over unsettled land in the west
