  • Historians don't know exactly who the first king was in ancient Rome, but they do know they were Latins. Rome started with a group of people that invaded Italy, since then the tribe built a town/village across the seven mountains that looked over the Tiber river.
  • Etruscan Influence of Sports on the Romans
  • The myth of Romulus and RemusThe prince had two kids named Romulus and Remus, but their grandfather Mars the god of war was afraid of them so he sent them down a river to die. But a lone wolf got them and raised them on her own, and one day they soon to be older and when that day is to come to Romulus killed Remus to take the crown of Rome.
  • Greek Influence of Architecture on the Roman Civilization
  • Romans were excellent at their building structure but they were the best at building the arch and the cuniculus. The cuniculus was an underground interrogation system invented by the Etruscans.The arch "Etruscan arches rested on two pillars, which supported a half-circle of wedge-shaped stones."
  • Greek Influence of Writing, Art, and Religion on the Romans
  • Romans held events for 2 very bloody sports. One was slave fighting, where if the slaves master died their remaining slaves would fight to the death with swords and tiny shields. Another sport was, Chariot races, the drivers to the Chariots would be strapped down and if a chariot overturned the person could be run over or trampled by horses.
  • The Romans would copy some of the Greeks' architectural work like building marble temples for their gods. Or having the same type of columns Greeks would use.
  • Both Etruscans and Romans adored Greek pottery, so the Romans acquired some Greek pottery and used it as their own. Greek writing also influenced Romans writing, Estrucans had taken Greek writing and altered it and the Romans did the same to the Etruscans.
