Storyboard Text

  • Exposition: The Narrator lived with an old man. He favored the old man, but hated his vulture eye
  • Conflict: Because the Narrator hated the old man's eye, he planned on killing him. (man v. man)
  • I hate his eye, I am going to kill him at the end of the week.
  • Rising Action: Narrator sneaks into his bedroom to kill the old man. 
  • Climax: Narrator kills the old man and hides him under the floor. 
  • DIE! DIE!
  • Falling Action: Narrator starts conversation with police officers. Eventually, he starts to regret the murder and hears his heartbeat in the floor. 
  • I have to talk louder or they'll hear the heart beat
  • Resolution: Narrator confesses to killing the old man. 
  • “Yes! Yes, I killed him. Pull up the boards and you shall see! I killed him. But why does his heart not stop beating?! Why does it not stop!?”
