  • Neptune is the farthest planet from the sun (other than Pluto). 27807 BILLION MILES away! It is the fourth biggest planet. 17 times bigger than Earth
  • it takes 165 years for Neptune to orbit around the sun. A full day on Neptune is 16 hours and 16 minutes.

  • Neptune is dark, cold, and super windy. It does not have a solid surface. It is made up of methane, hydrogen, and helium.
  • i know these names from somewhere...
  • Neptune has fourteen moons. It's biggest moon is named Triton. It also has 5 rings that are very hard to see.

  • Because of its blue color Neptune was named after the Roman God of the Sea. The blue color comes from the absorption of in fared or red light by methane.
