In the sports Novel Touchdown Kid, by Tim Green Cory lives in a rough neighbor hood surrounded by many bad influences but, when he gets a shot at moving to play on HBS (Howard Bissinger school) he need to make decision to get a shot at have a better life. He will have to risk leaving everything behind.

The football field is where most scenes happen in the novel such as when Liam, Cory's best friend , gets injured really bad in the knees Cory gets his big chance to get that scholarship. From that moment on he scores many touchdowns even getting nicknamed the "Touchdown Kid". After he starts getting in his grove at HBS and settling in there is nothing holding him back from shining among the stars.

The lesson in the sports novel Touchdown Kid, by Tim Green is all about never giving up when times get tough and to always be honest. An example of that is Cory we patient to get his time to shine and kept grinding. When time came for him to ball out he for sure took his chance.
In both of the novels Touchdown Kid and Kid Owner by Tim Green they both represent staying true and not taking a bad path. In both of the books Cory and Ryan both grow up in bad neighborhoods and stay out of trouble by playing the game they love football. By doing that they are able to succeed in many ways to fulfill their dreams.
The story is Man vs Society. If he does not play good football for HBS Cory will get cut and have to move back home. On the other hand it could also be Man vs Man, when Liam got injured his older brother Finn does everything he can do to make Cory not take his scholarship.
In the novel you get a sense of hopefulness and excitement. You get hopeful for Cory to preform and do good at HBS. On the other hand you get exited when he does do well and, wins games for HBS.
