  • Creon is the brother of Jocasta who was married to her son, Oedipus! Since he got exiled, Creon became new King of Thebes.
  • Creon as The Ruler
  • The princes Eteocles and Polyneices have killed eachother in battle. Now I succeeded power of the throne.
  • The King believes he buried Polyneices, because he was eye-witnessing the act. So he distracts him with manipulation.
  • Sentry as The Trickster
  • Are you sure that it is my voice, and not your conscience?
  • By God, he wants to analyze me now!?
  • The protagonist thinks she did no wrong, because her brother deserved honor for his burial in which obeys Heaven's law.
  • Antigone as The Hero
  • And yet you dared to defy the law.
  • I dared. It was not God's proclamation. The final justice that rules our world makes no such laws.
  • Haemon as the Love Interest
  • Haemon is clearly engaged to Antigone according to her sister Ismene, he is showing that loves his fiancée despite holy crime.
  • Not here, no; she will not die here King! If you must, I will never speak to you ever again.
  • Now, by God—! I swear, by all the gods above us, you shall watch it!
  • Messenger as The Messenger
  • The messenger notified the curse have been affecting their family. Creon's authority made him lose his wife and relatives.
  • The burden you carry in your hands is heavy. But it's not all: you will find more in your house. Sorry to say, the queen is dead.
  • O port of death, deaf world, is there no pity for me? Is this true? Is my wife dead?
