  • Inge lived with her mother and father in Kippenheim village in Germany.
  • Her father was a textile merchant.
  • The Auerbacher business
  • On the "Night of Broken Glass", hoodlums threw bricks at Inge's home and broke all the windows.
  • The police arrested Inge's father and took him (with all the other Jewish men) to Dachau concentration camp. Inge and her mother found a shed to hide in until the police left.
  • When Inge was seven, her and her family were deported to Theresienstadt ghetto in Czechoslovakia.
  • When they got to the ghetto the nazis took all of Inge's things except her clothes and her doll.
