Judge Samuel was a man looking for a new king. The reason behind this was tat Israelites demanded a new king. Samuel then chose Saul as king. Samuel then poured holy oil to show that God had blessed him.
After Saul was pronounced king, he fought the Philistines. Saul then lost most of his support of people. When Saul disobeyed orders from god. David was chosen king when Saul needed a new king.
Before Saul elected David as king, David was being praised for his courage. There was a saying in the Hebrew bible that David was fighting someone. David fought a philistine warrior named Goliath, and won.
Over jealousy, King Saul send an army to kill David. Of course, that didn't work, so he did it solo. Saul tried to killed David, but that didn't work, caused he escaped.
King David was growing older, but he told his people that his son, Solomon. Solomon became king, and brought a long period of treaty of peace.
Solomon also constructed many cities. He even built a temple. It was called the Solomon temple, or know as the First Temple. When Solomon sadly died, the Northern and Southern tribes of Israel split.
