I thought I was making the right choice, I had to save my sister, she was very sick and dying. My parents wanted to marry some girl but I can't deal with all of their dumb ideas.
I miss my family but not their smart comments. My brigade is alright but they are not very friendly. The paddles have made my hands a bloody pulp, and my muscles were torn to shreds.
We ran the rapids. We were fine until Raphael's paddle hit a rock and his paddle broke. He lunged over to it but as he did that he tipped the whole canoe over, thankfully Jerome got a hold on the canoe.
I will tell you now, you do not knowhow big Lake Superior is until you canoe across it.There were some waves along the way but obviously, we made it. We were dare devils and went across the middle. I have to say, it was pretty fun.
Making it to the Rendezvous felt amazing. We all knew that it meant that all that hard work payed off. It felt like you could shoot me right there on the spot( but don't),like I had accomplished everything life had meant me to.
I decided to return home and sign up in the next spring. I decided this because I remembered my sister could be dead or still dying. I feel like I lucked out this year. My brigade was great, funny, and mostly friendly. Even though we had our troubles, I would say I had the best year of my life.
