The governer orders New York Weekly Journal burned and has Zenger arrested.
In this scene John Zenger is released. An upon his taking the said John Peter Zenger, to commit him to the prison or common jail of the said city and county.

It is natural, it is a privilege, I will go farther, it is a right, which all free men claim, that they are entitled to complain when they are hurt. This shows that they wanted people people to have a freedom of speech.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
