The British are taxing sugar to pay for the F&I war. Colonists were smuggling sugar and more. The colonists thought the act are unfair so the colonists boycott and protested the tax on sugar.
Battle of Lexington and Concord, 1775
When the colonists were attacking them physically and verbally the colonists were saying "fire" and the red coats got infuriated and shot. After there were five colonists dead.
Battle of Saratoga 1777
When Britain put a tax on tea (that the colonists drank all the time.) The "sons of liberty" dressed up as Indians, snuck on to the boat that had all the tea and dumped million of dollars of tea into the Boston harbor.
Battle of Yorktown 1781
This battle was one of the major battles in the american revolution. It turned out to be a American victory. The British were running away from the militia and many of the British died.
The battle of Saratoga was a huge turning point for the Americans because the British surrendered which lead to Americans to be victorious.
This battle was the most significant one. The Americans won the battle, got their independence and they all signed the Treaty of Paris.
