"People not only refused to believe his tales, they refused to listen"(Wiesel,7). In this picture Moishe the beadle is trying to get people to believe his story. No one would even listen or believe him they thought he was crazy.
"We decided to take turns sitting. There was little air... After two days of travel, thirst became intolerable as did the heat."(Wiesel,23). In this picture it shows people crowded together because there were 80 people to a train car. The people traveled mostly standing up for two days.
"The baton was moving constantly, sometimes to the right, sometimes to the left..."your age?"..."Your profession""(Wiesel, 31) In this picture there is a line of people getting "selected" to either be a worker or killed. There is a fire pit in the background to represent what Elie saw when he was up to the selection people were being thrown into it.
"We gave some of our rooms to relatives who had been driven out of their homes"(Wiesel,11). This picture shows the 2 streets that the Jews were confined too. This is the first step towards being forced into concentration comps or death camps.
"But we were pulling into a station. Someone near a window read to us "Auschwitz""(Wiesel, 27). In this picture it shows the cattle/train car at a halt or stop as they arrive at the camp. It shows how confused Elie was as well like every other passenger.
"The 3 veteran prisoners, needles in hand, tattooed numbers on our left arms, I became A-7713. From then on, I had no other name"(Wiesel, 42) In this picture it shows a prisoner getting tattooed. The prisoner is bald because they were forced to have their heads shaved.
