Everything must be equal.

Storyboard Text

  • The Beginning
  • Rising Action
  • Rising Action
  •     2081. This was the year where everyone would finally become equal. This was the year amendments 211, 212 and 213 would take action so that no one would be better than the other,  just equal. The same boring houses, same dull colored clothes, haircuts, and even heights!
  • Climax
  • George and Hazel, Harrison's parents, sat in their living and enjoyed a ballerina dance. The weights and constraints on the ballerina prompted Hazel and George to talk about handicaps. Noticing the George looked sleep ridden she offered to let him take out his radio ear piece, that sent very loud and very disorienting sounds right to his head. He said no and told Hazel the dangerous of cheating the handicaps.
  • Falling Action
  • Harrison bursts on to ballerinas' stage, and there he claims that he is the new Emperor. After claiming to be the new Emperor he says that he needs a wife, the strongest and most beautiful ballerina volunteers. Before they can dance, Harrison tells the band to play something beautiful! Together they dance and leap about the stage until they kiss the ceiling.
  • Resolution
  • Harrison's dance and short term title of Emperor are ended just as quickly as they came. Diana Moon Glampers, Handicapper General, and shoots Harrison and the ballerina dead in two shots! The Emperor and his wife are dead.
  • After killing the two, Diana Moon Glampers threatens to shoot anyone who doesn't have the handicaps on in ten seconds! Hazel has just watched her son be killed, but she doesn't have the capacity to truely understand what just happened. George is left in the dark about his son's death, since he didn't see it and Hazel can't explain what she saw.
  • George soothes Hazel, and pretty soon she forgets what she was crying about. The two go on about the rest of their day as if nothing happened, and everyone was equal. Same houses, same clothes, same handicaps.
