  • THE FUTURE
  • Author: Karl Clement C. Lamocha
  • How can I prove myself to others? when even my book that I've placed my mind and experiences on be so pointless and a failed attempt
  • I promised that I would come back some day as a fully realized and developed human being. But that day seems to be nothing more than a mere figment of my failed goals.
  • Another day *sigh*.
  • I still can't believe that I made it here. Yes I dreamed of going since I was a boy, but I never though it would happen.
  • Whatever, at least there's not much traffic yet.
  • But now I am here, and yet I feel so empty and lost.
  • This short comic strip will serve as a sort of premonition as to what I see in my future as an adult.
  • It's 2031, 10 years from now. I wake up at my small apartment complex ready to face another day. Yet, I am at lowest during this point of my life. Questioning my own worth on the basis of others and my unfinished book.
  • But I strived and worked hard to get to where I am, the world city of culture and experience.
  • When I was a boy I had dreams of going to New York city, yet I never even considered it as a possibility.
  • I wake up early to beat the morning rush. So that I can get to my school which is half way across the city, as early as possible. And on my way to school I begin to question myself, such as where exactly am I going in life?
  • At this point I start questioning my decisions and as to how I even ended up here.
  • Yet what do I now do? why do I feel just so lost.
  • I'm also going to work at Mc Donald's to make sure I make ends meet. It may seem as if I've reached rock bottom but I'm doing this just to survive. Despite my head constantly staying pessimistic.
