  • Hobbes argued that people gave a leader absolute power, and they only kept their rights to life. He believed that people were naturally selfish, and they didn't care about other people. Hobbes thought that only the strongest people would survive unless a ruler protected them. he argued that people gave up their individual rights to keep the group safe.
  • In 1748 Montesquieu wrote a book talking about government, he was talking about Great Britain and how they had one of the most perfect governments. He said that a perfect system is to split everyone up into 3 groups called the three branches. Even thought his idea wasn't the best it was a good idea for farming.
  • Rousseau believed that everyone were good people but everything like education, and laws would make them bad people. He also believed that the government should be ruled by the citizens.
