  • I was born march 31, 1927 in Yuma AZ. I have 8 children, and my wife Helen Chavez. I was an American Labor leader and Civil Rights leader.
  • I lived with my 3 sons and 5 daughters . I was also married ti my wife Helen Chavez
  • I dedicated my life to improving treatment and pay and working conditions for farmworkers. When i was young my family and I worked in the fields as migrant farmworkers.
  • I was working as a community and labor organizer. I was founder of the the National Farm Workers Association in 1962
  • In 1968, I called for a national boycott "the table grape growers". We fought many battles and won several victories
  • although good things always come to an end , I died doing something I loved to do which is helping people . I died on April 23, 1993. I fought for many people and our farmworkers.
