Storyboard Text

  • Hello, we are the native Americans of the Eastern Woodlands!
  • This was one of our old houses. We found out you could build houses with logs instead of covering out wood bases with animal skin, so we adapted.
  • We started farming, even though we still collected from the natural environment. Since we farmed, we had to make new technology, such as the stone celt axe, the hoe, and hide-scraping tools.
  • We had to find food to feed everyone. We found things in the world around us such as berries, meat (From animals like deer), and lots and lots of vegetables (Ex. Squash)
  • Since there are a lot of rivers, we had to adapt and build boats to cross these bodies of water. We also adapted and got fish from here!
  • Hope you learned a lot about us and our culture! :)
