Projekt: 1065 by Alan Gratz is a realistic fictional story about a kid named Michael O'Shaunessay. He and his family are Irish spys in Nazi Germany during WW2. Their goal is to get intel on the Nazis to help the allies. Michael joins Hitler Youth to fit in.

Fritz, one of Michaels friends, showed him a paper he found in his dad's office. Michael realizes that it's projekt 1065. Michael wants to get closer to Fritz and get into his house. Michael joins the SRD to get closer to Fritz
During Hitler Youth, a British plane goes down by a farm in Germany. The boys in Hitler Youth are told to find the pilot and capture him. Micheal's objective is to find the pilot and bring him to safety.
Simon, Michael, and his parents learn about a plan for SRD members to assassinate a scientist at a convention in Switzerland. Michael wants to join the assassination team to try to stop it. To get on the team, Michael turns in his parents and Simon and his parents to prove his loyalty. Simon gets shot when trying to escape, but Michael's parents escape back to Ireland safely.
Michael gets on the assassination team and tries to stop the assassination. Once he arrived at the convention he sneaks the scientist out on a cable car. Fritz finds out that Michael is doing this and hids on top of the car with a bomb. Michael fights Fritz on the top of the car and Fritz gets knocked off by an avalanche.
Michael made his way back to Ireland safely. His parents were also waiting for him in safety also. Using his photographic memory, Michael made a copy of projekt 1065 for the allies with help from an agent in the Royal Airforce. They turn the tides of the war and help the allies make a new jet.
