Winter at Valley Forge - 1777/1778
The battle of Trenton was a colonial attack on Hessian soldiers in the town of Trenton on January 2nd, The hessian soldiers were garrisoned there so the colonials caught them off-guard.
The battle of Saratoga was a colonial victory, The battle had begun because Burgoyne thought that he was going to meet a British force leaving New York and another fellow British force but was instead greeted by a huge continental force and retreated to Saratoga to eventually surrender his army.
The winter at valley forge was a tough winter for the continental army. They had stationed at Valley Forge for winter and had ran extremely low on supplies which led to starvation and sickness and they ended up losing around 1,700 to 2,000 men.
