See this thing here? That's called the sun. All of the planets in our solar system, including earth, orbit around this thing. We all move at a constant speed around this in a circular motion.
But... the earth can't move. If we are really heliocentric (sun-centered) does that mean the earth rotates and moves around it? That doesn't make any sense!
Well, if the earth didn't move, how would we have day and night? Surely it would take the sun more than a day to orbit the earth, as it would need to in your theory.
When you think about it, it makes more sense. We rotate around the motionless sun, and we all orbit in a circular motion.
Hmm... I guess it does make sense now that I think about it...

You see, Copernicus, the sun rotates just like every other planet. Its not in the center of the universe either. Also, we don't orbit in a circular motion, but an elliptical instead. But most importantly, the planets do not move at a uniform speed during orbit.
