The Persian war was started by King Darius of the Persians to invade ancient greece, after him his son King Xerxes continued after his father failed. In the End the ancient Greeks win and the Persians lose.

The first battle was the Battle of Marathon where the greek soldiers where in a straight line with shield up while the Persians where shooting at then with arrows and the greeks moving forward claiming the first victory for the Greeks.

Battle of Thermopylae
In the Battle of Thermopylae ot was King Xerxes who led this attack after the death of his father, King Xerxes led a huge force attack on Greece A small army o 300 men fought and were able to hold of the Persians by 3 days all Greek soldiers were slaughters which was a win for the Persian but it gave the Greeks enough time to come up with a plan.
This battle was on water it was 500 Persian ships to 300 Greek Ships but the Greeks used fast and maneuverable ships, the Persians also had these ships but the Greek had a 20 years of experience General who led the Persians to a narrow pathway and hit them so hard that they could not escape which won the Greeks a victory.
Battle of Salamis

After the Battle of Salamis Xerxes returned home and left General Mardonius to continue to conquer Greece but it was the Greek soldiers line formation and bronze armor which won them this battle which leads to victory of the war.
Battle of Platea
Aftermath and Peace
After the war Greece and Persia signed a peace agreement, the Peace of Callias, the Persia Empire continued but this Greece's victory guaranteed freedom from being ruled.
