Mr. Teveter, how do you solve the volume of a hemisphere?
Well, It's simple, first, you must learn the formula: v= 4(3.14)r^3/3(.5) or (1/2)
Okay, but what are the steps?
Well, get out your calculator and type 4, then 3.14 in closed parenthesis and then, you type in your radius also enclosed in parenthesis, next, press the carrot button and then, 3, next press enter and divide by 3 and multiply by .5
But, how do you find your radius?
Lets say you have a diameter of 6, you would divide by two to get your radius of 3
But, why do you have to divide by two?
Thank you! I think I understand now.
Because a the diameter is the full length, but radius is half, so you would divide by half, and you multiply by .5 or 1/2 becuase a hemisphere is half of spere
