Hi I'm Bella and I'm going to explain the states of matter
A gas is when molecules expand and has no volume. This happens when thermal energy increases. Molecules move apart from each other.
The water represents a liquid. A liquid is when thermal energy decreases a little and molecules don't move as freely as a gas but has volume.
The last state of matter is a solid. A solid is when the molecules are stiff when it's cold. It doesn't change it's shape or volume. when it melts it turns into a liquid
When water gets hot smoke starts to form and turns into a gas. It's called evaporation
When a gas turns into a liquid, that's called condensation
