  • Spoils System
  • Bank Wars

  • Kitchen Cabnit
  • Family
  • The spoils was when Jackson fired most of the people who were in the government and hired the people who supported him. This effected the overnment by making it currupt and weaker because most of the people hired were unqualified. This also caused the kitchen cabnit.
  • Nullification Crisis
  • Here's a new tax
  • The bank wars was when people and state banks were fighting over the national bank and the money from the national bank ended up splitting up into all of the state banks. Because of this the national bank disappeared.
  • Indian Removal Act
  • This was a result of the spoils system and this was all of the people that Jackson hired that were unquallified. It was called the kitchen cabnit because the people who work for the president are called the cabnit and the kitchen comes from his supporters being inadiquate. This cause the government to be currupt and weakerabout decisions.
  • Trail of Tears
  • A new tax was imposed and South Carolina didn't like it. So they decided to nullify it and then threatened to secede from the Union if the government made them follow it.  Jackson then passed the Force Bill which sent federal troops to South Carolina to enforce the tax. There was a compromise but nullification still remained an issue.
  • We nullify this tax and threaten to secede
  • The Indian Removal act was caused by the greed of expanding westward. Many white settlers pressured to have this passed so they could expand. This act moved all indians to a territory which is now Oklahoma. These tribes mostly didn't like each other so moving to such a small place wasn't the best idea. The Cherokee refused to move and the Supreme Court agreed but Jackson didn't.  A compromise was eventually made but Jackson was belived to have forged the document that told them to leave.
  • Indian Territory
  • The trail of tears was the expidition from the original indian territory to the new one. Over 16,000 natives were marched more than 1,000 miles to the new indian territory. Over 1/4 of the natives died of disease, starvation or exposure. Because of this most of the indian died off because of president Andrew Jackson.
