To try to gain more money the church would sell indulgences. These letters that people would pay for would "forgive" peoples sins.
I'm William Tyndale
Martin Luther disagreed with the Catholic Church selling indulgences. Because of this Luther made 95 theses written with bible quotes and how the Church is taking advantage of their power.
Martin Was put to trial for his attack against the Church. He was ordered to take down his theses but he refused. After that He was considered an outlaw.
A protestant Named John Calvin helped spread protestant ideas. Martin Luther continued on and he printed a bible translated into German and William Tyndale printed the new testaments in English.
Later on, King Henry the 8th criticized Martin's Ideas. He killed protestant and made them leave England. In Germany they sided with the catholic church. A treaty was made that helped decide what religion to follow.
